Leaves fall around us,
School begins with a lively fuss.
Sprinklers stop their playful spray,
We put on sweaters for a chillier day.
The sun says goodbye past suppertime,
Autumn air comes, leaves in rhythmic rhyme.
Dancing in vibrant hues, a colorful ballet,
Trees left bare for the cold months' stay.
Raindrops fall, gloomy and misty,
Gray canvas washing art away, quite twisty.
Trees, adorned in snow's glistening embrace,
Long for warmer days, a comforting space.
Indoors, a stubborn chill may persist,
Thanks given, enjoying a hearty grill twist.
Days grow shorter, but how sweet,
A prelude to the season's cozy retreat.
Yearning for spring's sunny revive,
From darkness to light, they'll thrive.
